Inverter – This part of the system converts the power from your solar panels into the electricity required for your own use. If internal space is a problem then the majority of these are designed to work happily in a sheltered location outside.
Battery Storage – Linking battery storage with your panels will maximise the self consumption of the energy you produce.
Also, with the intelligent use of import/export tariffs from your energy supplier, you can charge the batteries from the grid at times of low demand when unit costs are lower to use during the day when demand and costs are greater.
Even without solar panels, batteries can be installed to benefit from import/export tariffs
About Ridgeway Renewables
Having spent many combined years working within the building industry, we had witnessed the benefits that renewable technologies can add to a build, but also experienced just how badly that information is portrayed and installations poorly executed.
As a result Ridgeway Renewables was born out of the partnership of David Ashby (of Ashby Construction) and Gavin Warrington (of Connect Installations).
The bringing together of our experience in the building and electrical industry means that you can be reassured that your installation will be undertaken and supervised by our friendly and competent team.
A large solar installation involves adding equipment and weight to a building’s structure, particularly the roof. With David’s building background, we can be sure that what is installed is undertaken with care and without damage.
Gavin is responsible for the electrical components and commissioning of the system. As an NICEIC Approved Contractor, everything installed meets the latest building and wiring regulations.
Ridgeway Renewables is MCS certified and operates through the NICEIC competent persons scheme. This means that we are audited and assessed annually so that our clients can have the confidence that our office and site work meets all safety and technical requirements.
We are also a member of the RECC (Renewable Energy Customer Code), a code of practice to protect your consumer rights.
